The No. 9 Florida volleyball team knows the remaining games on its schedule are must-wins. But instead of just winning, the Gators seem determined on dismantling every last opponent.

With at least a share of the SEC championship in hand by winning the final six matches, UF earned its seventh consecutive sweep Friday after defeating Georgia, 25-16, 25-20, 25-14, in front of 3,325 fans at the O’Connell Center.

The win took just 82 minutes and featured more of a dominant team effort than any singularly impressive performance. As a group, the Gators (19-3, 13-2 SEC) posted just six hitting errors, including a mistake-free first set. The club hit four balls out of bounds on the night and improved its hitting percentage, already sixth best in the nation, with a season-high .474.

“Consistency is a big thing that we try to work on,” said Kristy Jaeckel, who finished with 11 kills and eight digs.
